Udupi Celebrates Shri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu’s Appearance Krishna Matha the abode of Lord Krishna established in the eleventh century by
Srila Madhwa, celebrated the appearance day of Lord Chaitanya in collobaration with ISKCON Bangalore here recently. This was held in the Rajangana
Hall ( grand hall of celebrations)of the Matha under the blessings of His Holiness Sri Sri Sri Vishwesha Tirtha Swamiji. The celebrations was
called Shri Chaitanya Jayanthi Sambhramotsava. His Holiness is the head of Adhokshaja Mutt which is currently taking care of the worship of
Lord Krishna’s deity which was established personally by Srila Madhvacharya in the eleventh century in Udupi.
A Public Relations Symposium was held for the devotees of Hare Krishna Movement on 5th April, 2017 at ISKCON Bangalore. This was an initiative to internalize their service to Lord Krishna and enrich their communication and social skills to enhance their spreading the message of Krishna Consciousness to the people. H.G. Madhu Pandit Dasa, Temple President, ISKCON Bangalore was the keynote speaker at the Symposium. He explained the devotees on how to communicate, inspire, inform and act. A few stalwarts from the organization like H.G. Bharatarshabha Dasa, Director - Strategic Relationships, H.G. Naveen Neerada Dasa, Head - Communications and Sri Ajay Kavishwar from Communications, Akshaya Patra Foundation also shared their experience.
The triannual Temple President Body meeting was held from 5th to 9th April, 2017. This meeting was held at ISKCON Bangalore, Vaikuntha Hill, Kanakapura, Bengaluru. Some of the main points that were discussed at the meeting were on the effective use of online communication in the service of Lord Krishna. The members of the Temple President Body also congratulated the devotees from ISKCON Mysore for the successful completion of the foundation stone laying ceremony of Nava Brindavan Dham Cultural Centre at Mysuru. To name a few guests present at the event were His Excellency Vajubhai Rudabhai Vala, Governor of Karnataka; Mysuru District In-charge Minister, Dr. H.C. Mahadevappa; Her Highness, Dr. Pramoda Devi Wadiyar among others.
